Live Nation is soliciting and administering recording projects through its label, which is not a signatory to any agreements with the AFM. Therefore, recording sessions for artists formerly signed to signatory labels--such as Madonna, Jay-Z, and Shakira--are not covered under the Sound Recording Labor Agreement (SRLA) at this time.09/01/08 That Union Thing
Broward public school teachers dressed in black on August 20 to protest their lack of a contract and state education funding cuts. Negotiators have declared an impasse and teachers may stage another protest on September 3.

Live Nation has secured a long-term contract from the city of Miami and the Bayfront Park Management Trust to run the 6,000-seat Bayfront Park Amphitheater. Live Nation will refurbish the amphitheater with modern seating and state-of-the-art production capabilities. The renovated amphitheater will reopen in June 2009.
