Grace Community Church is searching for a skilled pianist. Must be highly proficient, able to play along with a band, familiar with popular contemporary Christian music such as Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, and have vocal and worship leading abilities. They are looking for someone with both a strong musical background and a strong walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. 05/01/10 That Union Thing

Miami-Dade teachers, students, and parents sent a message against proposed legislation on teacher pay and tenure, and that message was clearly heard by Florida Governor Charlie Crist. The legislation, Senate Bill 6,  would have tied teacher pay to student test performance and eliminated tenure. Governor Crist vetoed the legislation in response to widespread sentiment against the bill.

WKCP Classical Radio South Florida has purchased West Palm Beach radio station WXEL from Barry University. WKCP intends to continue WXEL's NPR and public-affairs shows while strengthening its classical music programming.
