At the request of Sunset Entertainment/Florida Sunshine Pops, the IRS has reconsidered a 2009 decision determining its musicians to be employees and not independent contractors, and has ruled that the original determination was correct.

This is a reminder that under the AFM-EPF Rehabilitation Plan, employer contribution rates are scheduled to increase again on April 1. The rate for those paying the Local 655 minimum contribution rate of 8 percent (8.32 percent effective 6/1/2010) will rise to 8.72 percent on April 1, 2011.
The Sound Recording Special Payments Fund (SPF) has released a list of musicians with unclaimed funds. The SPF annually distributes supplemental wage payments to musicians who have worked under AFM recording agreements. If your name is listed below, you should immediately contact the Fund at
