Our AFM International leadership has been working hard to catch up with the times and fast moving technology. Among their major accomplishments are this past summer's signing of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) Audiovisual Performances Treaty. The AFM is already beginning to bring in millions of dollars in rights money distributions for AFM members whose performances on recordings are played on radio and television worldwide. Only members of the AFM will paid from these collections. If you are not already a member of the AFM, now is a good time to join. Please pass the word on to other musicians who might be affected by this new benefit.
