The Miami Music Project, James Judd, Artistic Director, announces auditions for the following positions:
String Quartet:
Brass Quintet:
Under the Artistic direction of Maestro James Judd, MMP began its work in the fall of 2009 and is now entering into its second season. We are proud to support the community and South Florida musicians and are currently seeking local talent to fulfill the positions. We are looking for great instrumentalists and enthusiastic individuals who want to be a part of an exciting community building initiative. MMP musicians create their own performance content, have the ability to present that content themselves from the stage and love working with children. Musicians are also involved in curriculum development for the performances and must be community-minded and educationally supportive. The ensemble will be energetic, dynamic, flexible, engaging and contemporary.
Miami Music Project is also a presenter of orchestral concerts and will be starting a new mentoring program for the 2010 - 11 school year, which will provide the MMP Musicians with additional performance and teaching opportunities. Details will be discussed upon invitation to the program.
***Musicians must provide their own transportation.
Compensation: $125 per service @ approx 45 services per person per seasonApplication must be received in the MMP office by TUESDAY AUGUST 31, 2010 by 5pm
