Ed Carhart, 84
Ed, a member of South Florida Musicians Association from 1961 to 2006, was an accomplished jazz, big band, and symphony musician. His favorite stories were of Valley Forge Military Academy, Julliard, Carhart Construction, his Army service, hydroplane racing championship, music and family. He is survived by daughter Leslie; sons C.E. "Chip" Jr. and Christopher; step-mother Jeanette; and sister-in-law Jane (James) Anderson, Predeceased by his wife Barbara, and daughter Kyle.
