Community Arts Education Partnership (CAEP) 'Funding Opportunity' Application Workshop

Broward Cultural Division will offer a grantwriting workshop to aid applicants for the Community Arts Education Partnership (CAEP) Grant Program, on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. in the Main Library, Broward Cultural Division, Fifth Floor Conference Room, 100 S. Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. This incentive program is highly recommended to teaching artists and individual artists who are looking to develop community-based arts education collaborations.

The purpose of this funding opportunity is to expand access to arts education occurring in community-based settings. The types of projects to be funded are: projects to implement a community-based artist residency or series; one and two day workshops and demonstrations for youth, adults, seniors and special needs populations to increase community access to the arts; projects to plan and implement community-based design projects in at-risk and underserved neighborhoods and in neighborhoods located in designated community revitalization areas.

Eligible entities include qualified individual and teaching artists. Applicants receiving funding through other BCC grant programs are eligible to apply for funding through CAEP as well. The CAEP incentive provides reimbursable funding support for projects occurring out-of-school. All applicants must demonstrate a written commitment from collaborating eligible entity(ies) that are community-based. Award Size: On a funds-available basis, the program will award established amounts up to $7,000.

The application deadline is March 1, 2012 for projects running from October 1, 2012-September 30, 2013.
