Harnell Memoirs Published

Local 655 Life member Joe Harnell has had his memoirs, Counterpoint, published. Harnell, a Grammy and Emmy award-winning pianist, composer, arranger, and conductor, has worked with such stars as Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and Marlene Dietrich, and has composed and conducted scores for such TV shows as The Incredible Hulk and The Bionic Woman.

Police Use Music to Deter Crime in WPB

Since April, music of Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven has been played on a residential corner of Rosemary Village, near downtown West Palm Beach. Sgt. Ron Ghianda first learned about the use of music for nuisance abatement at a seminar in Texas, and decided to give it a try locally. And apparently it works...statistics show that drug deals, shootings, and thefts are down since the music began playing 24-hours a day.
