Music Man Boycott

Actors� Equity and the AFM plan to leaflet the non-equity production of Music Man, which will appear at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts December 18-30. Negotiations with the producers are ongoing, and the AFM has begun collecting union authorization cards from those artists performing with the show. Salute To America United Concert

On December 9 the Florida Gold Coast Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Cary Kleiman, will present a free concert at the Young Circle Amphitheater in Hollywood in honor of the victims of the September 11 attacks, those who helped in the rescue effort. The concert is being presented with the assistance of the Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts and the Music Performance Trust Funds. MPTF has presented a number of concerts across the country in honor of the 9/11 victims, and Local 655 is proud to be part of this.
