City of Hollywood Breaks Ground at ArtsPark
The City of Hollywood broke ground for ArtsPark on February 29. ArtsPark, scheduled to open in Fall of 2005, will offer arts classes, youth programs, festivals, concerts, and other performances. It will host events such as Hispanic Fest, the Hollywood Jazz Festival, and Kuumba Festival.
ArtsPark, at Young Circle (Hollywood Boulevard and US1 in Hollywood), will have a raised amphitheater stage, sculpture and butterfly gardens, an outdoor classroom, gazebo, and cultural center. ArtsPark will be funded in part by the 2000 Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond, which will also fund ArtsParks in Pembroke Pines and Miramar.
