South Florida Musicians Association Debuts new Website
Welcome to the newly updated South Florida Musicians Association Website! Some of the new features you'll find include:
- Searchable news and newsletter archives.
- The ability to leave comments on many pages (comments will be screened for spam and inappropriate language, but we encourage an open dialogue, so please feel free to give us your thoughts, good or bad).
- More new content. Newsletter articles will be added monthly, and news updates will be added frequently. Newsfeeds from sister sites are also featured.
- RSS Newsfeeds. You can keep up with the latest posts in your favorite newsfeed reader or through Live Bookmarks.
We've also added a few new sections, including:
- Member Profiles. Meet some of our members, beginning with former KC & The Sunshine Band member Mike Lewis.
- Blogs. Get some insight into the music business and learn what it's like to be a professional musician. We start in October with SFMA Secretary-Treasurer and Florida Classical Orchestra member Jeffrey Apana talking about the opening of the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts from a musician's perspective. Also scheduled are Gerry Miller discussing the role of a musical contractor, Scott Flavin on the job of the Concertmaster, a panel discussion of musician performance injuries, and more.
