MUSICIANS TO SHOW APPRECIATION TO DONORS

Union musicians of the Florida Classical Orchestra will leaflet opening night performances of Miami City Ballet's Nutcracker to thank donors for returning them to music-making for the Ballet.

Miami City Ballet will be using live orchestra for its Nutcracker performances for the first time since 2000. They will be using live orchestra for all of their other productions this season, something they also have not done since 2000. The return of live orchestra to Miami City Ballet was made possible by generous donations from Darla & John Karlton, Thomas M. Chastain, Arlyn & Stephen Cypen, Dr. Margaret & Mike Eidson, and Saul Magram. These donations were made specifically to fund the orchestra, and musicians will be passing out leaflets to audience members prior to Nutcracker opening night performances to thank those donors.
