Cavemen Bill and George Discover Civilization

Cavemen Bill and Caveman George were always in competition. Bill would steal George's food, and George would steal Bill's food, and on and on.
One day Bill went up to George and said, "Ungha bugha godu." Roughly translated, Bill knew that neither of them was getting ahead, and wanted to call a truce. Bill would stop stealing George's food if George would agree to do the same. Since George liked his own food better than Bill's anyway, and stealing was a lot of work, he agreed. They created the first law: not to steal each other's food.

A few months later, Arnold moves to town. Now Arnold was a lot bigger than either Bill or George, and wasn't very good and gathering his own food, so he started stealing both Bill's and Georges' food.

Bill and George met one day to vent over their problems with Arnold, and George had an idea. "Arnold is bigger than either of us, but if we work together, maybe we can outsmart him." Bill agreed that it was worth a try. So the next time Arnold tried to steal their food, George distracted him while Bill snuck up from behind and clubbed Arnold over the head.

After a few times getting clubbed over the head (Arnold may have been bigger, but he wasn't too bright), Arnold decides Bill and George aren't worth the trouble and moves on to another town.

Bill and George have long and happy lives (for cavemen). Others move to town, but no one is ever successful at stealing their food. Some even stick around and join George and Bill's pact not to steal food and to help defend each other.

Arnold, unfortunately, dies shortly after leaving Bill and George, due to severe head trauma.

Who would you rather live with...Arnold, or George and Bill?
