This is a reminder that the next Membership Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Local 655 offices. Please join us to network with other members and discuss issues of importance to you. Proposal 1
ARTICLE IX NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
Section 1. Nominations and elections shall be held biennially in odd-numbered years triennially. Terms of office shall begin in years whose final digits are divisible by three.
With the proviso that this amendment shall take effect with the term of office commencing in January of 2012.
Section 4. NOMINATIONS

Any member in good standing continuously for two years prior to nomination day shall be eligible for nomination to office.
ARTICLE XVI AMENDMENTS
Section 4. DATE WHEN A BYLAW AMENDMENT TAKES EFFECT

Amendments to the wage scale shall take effect sixty days after adoption, unless a later date is specified in the amendment. Contracts on file with the Local prior to adoption of wage scale amendments shall be honored at the rate in effect prior to adoption.

The Bylaw Committee reports favorably on Proposal 2 except as follows:
