Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra Seeks Orchestra Personnel Manager
The Southwest Florida Symphony seeks highly organized and musically knowledgeable individual to be responsible for administering the personnel of the Orchestra. Responsibilities include application of the master agreement, preparation and maintenance of orchestra payroll and other records, scheduling of musicians, hiring of substitute and extra musicians and coordination of auditions. The Personnel Manager serves as liaison between the conducting staff and the musicians, the administrative staff and the musicians, and management and the musician's union.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of one year increasingly responsible administrative experience, preferably in music
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word and Excel)
- Ability to adjust schedule as needed to attend rehearsals and performances, including work on weekends and evenings
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, and to calmly handle a variety of situations
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of symphonic music, orchestral repertoire, orchestra instruments and musicians
- Prior work experience with an orchestra is desirable but not required
