Key West Pops Ceases Operations

The Key West Pops will close their doors at the end of the 2011-12 season. The Key West Pops was launched in 1999 by Vincent Zito to raise money for the Key West Theatre Festival. Over thirteen years, it grew into a major institution for Key West and the local musicians that regularly performed for it. The current economic climate has made it difficult for the orchestra to raise funds, and they chose to end on a high note, with all of their expenses paid, rather than continue and run the risk of not being able to meet their obligations. We salute the Orchestra for 13 years of beautiful music!
