South Florida Chamber Ensemble Seeks Pianist

The South Florida Chamber Ensemble is a non-profit classical music ensemble serving South Florida. Our mission is to improve the lives of South Florida residents through music. Immediate Opening for Pianist

Auditions begin October 4, 2013

Our vision is:

1. To present high quality concerts to the public that are interesting and unique.

2. To tell the stories of the composers and their inspiration before we play each piece.

3. To assist emerging local composers through residencies,commissions and performances of their works.

4. To create and implement a new educational initiative every season.

5. To collaborate with local artists, musicians, and organizations to further our mission.

We are seeking a pianist of the highest caliber to join our team. Duties include performing in the classical concert series, special events, and educational programming, administrative duties commensurate with strengths and talents, and becoming an ambassador for our brand. We are looking for an exceptionally talented and energetic individual to bring their talents and expertise to our team.

The South Florida Chamber Ensemble performs about 30 services per season. The piano is normally need in about one third of the season. Musicians are paid per service in accordance with American Federation of Musicians Union scale. Winning pianist must agree to perform all services or locate a suitable replacement.
