That Union Thing

According to a United Way report, 45 percent of Florida households cannot afford basic housing, food, health care, and transportation.

Between 2007 and 2012, costs for basic needs rose 13 percent in Florida, while wages were stagnant or fell for most Floridians.

The National Labor Relations Board has reaffirmed musicians' rights to union representation at the Lancaster Symphony. The NLRB has ruled that the Symphony has committed an unfair labor practice by refusing to negotiate a contact with the musicians' union. Musicians have been fighting for seven years for a union contract. The Symphony has indicated that they will appeal the NLRB ruling.
