The NLRB has issued complaints that MacDonalds and its franchisees have violated workers' rights.

The NLRB has ruled that MacDonalds is a joint employer, which means that the corporation itself, as well as the individual franchisees, is responsible for labor law violations.

An Uber driver has been dismissed, apparently for supporting unionization of the driver-for-hire service. Peter Kuel, an Uber driver since 2014 and an outspoken critic of the company, has had his account suspended without reason. Teamsters Local 117 has demanded that Kuel be reinstated.
