Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 10-7, July 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Artserve

Meeting called to order at 11:03 AM. Present: Clippard, Apana, Corcillo, Kerley, Kolcz, Salmasian; Holstein, Van Eck absent.

MMC to approve minutes of July 2010 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on work on teacher referral and services directory databases.

Special Order for 11:00 AM: New member Bobby Kent spoke to the Board about a local TV show, Nite Time in Miami, he is producing, and informed the Board about contacts he has with agents that can create group health insurance plans for associations.

President's Report: Clippard reported on issues in obtaining information about Chayanne string recording sessions.

Report of Committees: none.

Special Orders: MMc to schedule next meeting for 9/14 at 11 AM.

Unfinished Business: none

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to establish a policy denying posting of job openings for organizations that the Local has a dispute with, or that pay less than scale wages. MMC (moved by Apana) to establish a published listing of organizations with which the Local or its members are currently involved in a dispute. MMC to establish Local Broadcast Rates for TV (see attached).
