Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 14-3, March 20, 2014 after Membership Meeting, at Artserve
Meeting called to order at 12:20 PM. Present: Clippard, Kolcz, Apana,
Bermann, Corcillo, Van Eck; Holstein, Kerley, Stanley absent.
MMC to approve minutes of February 20, 2014 meeting; MMC to approve minutes of December 19, 2013 membership meeting.
Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report,
membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on PBO ratification vote.
VP Report: none.
President's Report: Clippard reported on musicians receiving
incorrect 1099s from Miami Symphonic Services; MSO wage theft claims.
Committee Reports: none.
Special Orders: MMC to schedule meeting for May 9, 2014 at 11 AM.
Unfinished Business: none.
New Business: Motion to adopt scale increase from membership
meeting; MMC (moved by Apana) to amend by adding an effective date of
6/1/14; main motion carries. MMC (moved by Apana) to give Devine until
4/1/14 to complete MCB contract by including musician names in order to
comply with Bylaws regarding wage scale grandfathering.
Good and Welfare: Discussion of SFS unpaid wages. Discussion of unpaid Salute to Vienna pension. Bermann departed at 1:22 PM.
Apana proposed starting a campaign against musician outsourcing.
