Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 14-4, April 14, 2014 at 11AM, at Artserve

Meeting called to order at 11:19 PM. Present: Clippard, Apana, Kerley, Stanley; Van Eck absent. MMC (moved by Clippard) to recess until a quorum is obtained.

Bermann arrived at 11:21 AM and the meeting resumed. Kolcz arrived at 11:23 AM.

MMC to approve minutes of March 20, 2014 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on communications from AFM re meeting for Local officers in Reno; from MPF on funding for next fiscal year; from AFM re jingle negotiations; from AFLCIO re Wage Theft rally; from C Acosta re Local audit in May; from M Bloom re musicians working below scale at WMC. Apana reported on suspended members.

VP Report: none.

President's Report: Clippard reported on visit to Evita production at KCPA; assisting musicians with MISO wage theft claims.

Corcillo arrived at 11:42 AM.

Committee Reports: none.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule meeting for June 9, 2014 at 11:30 AM.

Unfinished Business: none.

New Business: Discussion of creating creating a campaign in support of musicians rights and soliciting musician support; MMC (moved by Kerley) to craft a campaign for job security and living wages, to solicit support from the musical community, and to identify initial targets. Kerley departed at 1:15 PM.

Good and Welfare: Apana reminded the Board of officer elections to be conducted in the fall.
