Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 14-7, 11 July, 2014, at Artserve

Meeting called to order at 11:35 AM. Present: Clippard, Kolcz, Apana, Aron, Kerley, Van Eck; Bermann, Corcillo, Stanley absent.

MMC to approve minutes of June 5, 2014 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on correspondence from AFM re videogames agreement; AFLCIO re Staples dispute.

VP Report: none.

President's Report: Clippard reported on communications from AFLCIO re doctors not receiving payments from AETNA; on meeting with BAA re hiring issues.

Committee Reports: Clippard reported that the Election Committee is scheduled to meet on July 14, 2014.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule meeting for September 9, 2014 after Membership Meeting.

Unfinished Business: none.

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to launch campaign against SFS over unpaid wages. MMC (moved by Clippard) to plan the following activities for MSO and SFS campaigns: online petitions; letters to donors and soloists; leafletting of opening night performances; assisting musicians with IRS SS8 filings and 1099 complaints; researching pro bono lawyers to assist musicians in class action lawsuit.

Good and Welfare: Apana made comments regarding the book "Power of Habit" which was mentioned by President Hair at Southern Conference. Discussion of upcoming 655 elections.
