Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 14-12, 15 December, 2014, at Artserve

Meeting called to order at 10:11 AM. Present: Clippard, Apana, Aron, Van Eck; absent: Kolcz. Also present as guests: officers-elect Bertolet, Dixon, Michels, Leon, and Reskin.

MMC to approve minutes of November 12, 2014 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on correspondence from Manley/AFM re Salute to Vienna.

VP Report: none.

President's Report: Clippard reported on SFS payment of wages, wages owed by MSO, and success in getting some Turley-contracted events to pay scale wages.

Committee Reports: receipt of report of Election Committee.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule next meeting for January 19, 2015 at 11 AM. MMC (moved by Apana) to adopt 2015 operating budget.

Unfinished Business: none.

New Business: MMC (moved by Clippard) to reaffirm Local position that only musicians residing in the Local's jurisdition should be included in the Broadway Across America hiring list. Corcillo arrived at 10:37 AM. MMC (moved by Apana) to include officers-elect in Executive Board email mailing list (Corcillo opposed).

Good and Welfare: Discussion of FGO lawsuit and pending mediation. Dixon departed at 11:27 AM. Continued discussion on FGO lawsuit. Aron and Clippard noted that Palm Beach Pops has threated to fire any musicians who perform for Kravis Pops; discussion of sending letter or issuing press release to voice Local displeasure.
