Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 17-4, 17 April 2017, at Local 655 Office
Meeting called to order at 12:51 PM. Present: Bertolet, Satterwhite,
Apana, Aron, Kleiman, Michels, Reskin, van Eck; Dixon absent.
MMC to approve minutes of March 1, 2017 meeting and 8/10/16 membership meeting.
Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report,
membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on
correspondence from AFM re TV negotiations; AFM re music theater prep
rates; AFMEPF re status of fund; MPTF re allocations. Apana reported on
meeting with MISO; Paypal.me setup for Local 655; problems with emailed
invoices; PBO audition issues; Stojo not being paid doubling for MCB;
improved communication from Ellert for PBO business.

Report: receipt of written report. Satterwhite reported that BAA
negotiations will be held 5/23-24; on BAA roster reviews; questions
from musicians re sub/extra hiring for PBO Pirates production.
President's Report: receipt of written report. Bertolet reported on meeting with MISO.
Committee Reports: none.
Special Orders: MMC to schedule membership meeting for June 9, 2017 at 12 NOON, at Local 655
office.
Unfinished Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to follow through on
Melamerson and Pietraszko charges based on their responses to requests
to transfer/join. MMC (moved by Apana) to not renew Artserve membership.
New Business: Verification of poll: MMC to approve conditions for
settlement offer in FGO lawsuit. MMC (moved by Apana) to bill KCO for
use of video recordings in violation of archival agreement. MMC (moved
by Apana) to authorize payment of travel fee for driving to Southern
Conference as an option to plane fare. MMC (moved by Apana) to waive
Gottfried outstanding 2017 annual dues balance due to confusion over
life membership status.
Good and Welfare: Discussion of holding a membership drive. Apana
noted that our confidentiality policy to protect names of informants
should apply to Local officers as well whenever possible. Discussion of
unpaid SFS travel fees; van Eck will forward details to Bertolet and
Michels. Apana distributed copies of Labor Notes "Beating Apathy"
online course to Board.
