Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 17-11, 15 November 2017, at Local 655 Office

Meeting called to order at 11:09 AM. Present: Bertolet, Satterwhite, Apana, Aron, Michels, van Eck; Dixon, Kleiman, Reskin absent.

MMC to approve minutes of October 27, 2017 meeting and September 23, 2017 membership meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on correspondence  from AFM re Pietraszko charges; AFMEPF re Il Volo pension collections; AFMEPF and Teboe re status of BAA CBA; AFLCIO re Mar-a-Lago protest; FAU Libraries re KCO contracts; Fiddler/AFM re Il Volo and Celtic Thunder tours. Apana reported on suspended members who will be expelled 12/1 for failure to pay annual dues.

VP Report: receipt of written report. Satterwhite reported on speaking to SWFSO musicians re joining the AFM; discussions with Teboe re BAA sub keyboard pay.

President's Report: receipt of written report. Bertolet reported that he distributed 655 newsletters to MISO musicians.

Committee Reports: none.

Special Orders: none.

Unfinished Business: MMC (moved by Satterwhite) to postpone discussion of KCO lawsuit until December meeting.

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to find Kessler, Roseboom, Gessinger, and Dimitrov guilty of failing to pay OPO/Bocelli concert work dues. Motion by Satterwhite to classify Kravis Broadway as a class b engagement; motion withdrawn. Motion by Apana to classify Kravis Broadway as a casual engagement, for a period of six months; MMC (moved by Bertolet) to amend to be for a period of seven months, from November 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018; motion carries.

Good and Welfare: Van Eck notes that musicians are receiving $600 total to perform for American Idiot in Pompano Beach, for rehearsals and three weekends of performances. Michels noted that Jody Slagle and Sabrina Alfonso are now contracting musicians directly for SFS.
