Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 19-7, 29 July 2019, at Local 655 Office

Meeting called to order at 12:12 PM. Present: Reskin, van Eck, Apana, Aron, Folse, Fuller; Corey, Kleiman absent.

MMC to approve minutes of June 26, 2019 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on communications from Turley re Jackman tour contract; AIL re offering AD&D insurance to members. Apana reported on membership rolls and information on the Pension Fund status. Bravo arrived at 12:19 PM. Apana suggested that the Local could save money by cleaning out the storage location and moving into a smaller unit.

VP Report: van Eck reported on Broward Cultural Council executive committee discussing requiring SFS to pay musicians within two weeks and requiring them to include contact information for the grants administrator and the wage theft department on their contracts, as a requirement for receiving future grants. Van Eck reported on attending the Bolivar Phil concert and speaking to the director; they intend to have future concerts and intend to pay musicians going forward.

President's Report: Reskin reported on the Templin elections presentation given at the AFLCIO meeting.

Committee Reports: none.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule meeting for August 28, 2019 after membership meeting.

Unfinished Business: MMC to schedule membership meeting for October 29, 2019 at 12 NOON.

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to decline the AIL AD&D coverage offer.

Good and Welfare: Discussion of Colonial Life telemedicine benefit rollout and ways to publicize it going forward.
