Regular Executive Board Meeting Number 22-11, November 18, 2022, at Local 655 offices

Meeting called to order at 12:17 PM. Present: Reskin, Apana, Aron, Corey, Fuller; absent: Bravo, Folse, Kleiman, van Eck

MMC to approve minutes of October 14, 2022 meeting.

Secretary-Treasurer's Report: presentation of expense report, membership rolls, bank balance data, and new members. Apana reported on correspondence from Howland re Key West bandleader nonpayments; AFM re Sigal charges; Neuenschwander re Bocelli contract. Apana reported on recruitment statistics, 2023 budget draft, bylaw language necessary for virtual meetings.

VP Report: no report.

President's Report: Reskin reported that van Eck has informed him that she is unwilling to come to meetings in person.

Committee Reports: none.

Special Orders: MMC to schedule board meeting for December 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Unfinished Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to grant a variance for Salute to Vienna to pay $153 per 2.5-hour service provided that contracts are filed and that they pay full scale for the 2024 season.

New Business: MMC (moved by Apana) to clarify that cartage only applies when instruments are actually moved.

Good and Welfare: Discussion of SOA replacement of musicians. Discussion of upcoming SFMA elections. Discussion and review of draft of orientation program.

Corey departed at 1:09 PM at which time a quorum was lost and the meeting was adjourned.
