He noted that he has respect for the Local Board and has a lot of hope for the Local. He noted that the Local will only succeed if all segments of the Local work together.

Satterwhite thanked members for the large turnout.

Galassi reported on FGO organizing, and that a lot hinges on pending legal actions. She noted that all employers try to claim that musicians are independent contractors. She noted that the AFM position is that those musicians that are currently playing for FGO are the ones that should be protected. Discussion by Whitney, Ballard, Potochnic, Luger, Lakofsky, Clippard. Galassi noted that organizing is not effected by right to work laws, that multiple attorneys are involved in the FGO case, that the AFM has a 100 percent success rate in organizing, that internal fights and splits work toward the benefit of management, that personal agendas are like a cancer, that musicians' position is not to make artistic judgements of their colleagues, and that a cannibalistic workplace is not in workers' best interests.

The quorum was lost at 1:00 PM, at which time discussion continued.
