GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING, Monday, 10 May, 2004 at 7:00 pm

Local 655 Offices, Hollywood FL

 Meeting called to order at 7:12 pm. 17 members (a quorum) present, including President Walker, Secretary-Treasurer Apana, and Directors Ballard, Harp, Levin, Raimondi, Roitstein, and Warner.

MSC to approve minutes of last meeting.

Reports of Officers:

• Apana reported on programs to electronically generate recording contracts and engagement reports and on updates to the recording contract database to better facilitate new use. Apana reminded members about the recruitment credits for recruiting new members.

• Walker reported that the booking agency has already booked a number of jobs and that the Local intends to pay the pension and work dues out of the booking fee and will process all necessary paperwork. Walker requested band promotional material, particularly for groups that perform weddings. Walker noted BMI's new licensing fee for music hosted on websites. Discussion of PBP contracts and nonunion shows coming to the Broward center next season.

Good and Welfare: Walker made a presentation on using the LS1 contract form to make pension contributions. Apana noted the availability of Local 655 T-shirts. Roitstein requested that members call the Local to report all recording sessions.
