08/07/10 Disney Seeks Female Accordionist

Walt Disney World (Orlando, Florida) is seeking an experienced female accordionist with strong audience participation skills to perform in a new entertainment offering at Epcot. This five-piece Italian style group consists of one musician with four actors and performs on the street in a highly improvisational environment. This audition is to cast one full time position as well as substitute positions.

08/05/10 Key Largo Anglers Club Seeks Piano Bar Entertainer

The Key Largo Anglers Club is a small, private yacht and fishing club located on the northern tip of Key Largo by Ocean Reef. The property is situated on Card Sound Bay on approximately 45 acres.We are currently searching for a seasonal piano bar entertainer to replace our current performer who is retiring after 20 years. The clubs' membership is very active around the piano bar. The ideal candidate must amongst other qualities have an outgoing personality, ability to work with a "sing-a-long" crowd and a diverse musical background. Ability to transpose to accommodate a variety of voices and talent is especially important.

Strategic Broadcast Media and the Community Broadcast Foundation are fighting the sale of WXEL radio to American Public Media-owned Classical South Florida. The organizations are concerned over the potential loss of local voice and local programming, particularly jazz programming, and the fate of the WXEL TV station. Barry University sold the WXEL radio station (but not the TV station) to Classical South Florida in April for $3.85 million, but the sale is subject to regulatory approval.
