That Union Thing
Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich has voiced support for the Employee Free Choice Act.
He says that inequality is wider than it has been in fifty years and that unions could help lower and middle income workers increase their buying power and therefore help revive the nation's economy. The Act would allow workers to choose union representation with a simple up-or-down majority vote.
For over a year inflation in south Florida has outpaced the nation. According to figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, south Florida inflation for January and February was at a 5.3 percent annual rate, as compared to 4 percent nationally.
