IATSE is gaining support off-Broadway.

They have been voluntarily recognized at the Vineyard Theatre and won elections for crews at Titanique and the Atlantic Theater Company. They also have elections pending at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, as well as at Little Shop of Horrors.

Toyota workers in Missouri have filed to be represented by the United Auto Workers. This is a first for Toyota, and follows UAW campaigns at Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Mercedes. Workers are concerned about working 10- to 12-hour days, safety, and having time to recover from injuries and disabilities.

Google has fired YouTube music contractors who went on strike last year over Google's return to work policy. They work for contractor Cognizant, and Google claims the decision was to cut Cognizant, and not the workers themselves.

The NLRB has ruled that Home Depot must allow workers to write "BLM" on their uniforms. The NLRB ruled that, since the issue was discussed previously with workers and management, it was protected concerted activity. Concerted activity is protected speech under the National Labor Relations Act, and messages related to the workplace are considered concerted activity.
