Broward Cultural Affairs Sponsors Entrepreneur Course
Do you have a string quartet? A summer chamber music program? A music teaching studio? Then you are an entrepreneur!
The Broward Cultural Division is sponsoring an Artist as Entrepreneur Institute, modeled after a program created for Cleveland (Ohio) artists by Megan L. Van Voorhis, Senior Director of the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture ( www.cpacbiz.org ) . The Institute will cover:
- choosing a business structure
- developing a brand
- pricing
- communications strategies
- protecting your rights
- accounting, bookkeeping, and taxes
- business plans
The Institute will be held on four Saturdays, June 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2007 at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale. Participants will also be eligible to apply for revolving-loan programs for musicians and artists. For more information, please visit
