Workers at the Bergen Logistics fulfillment center are organizing for union representation. The workers sort, package, and ship for luxury fashion brands. Kennedy Center staffers have filed for an election to be represented by a union in partnership with the United Auto Workers. The employees work in programming, education, and marketing, and are concerned about layoffs and a lack of transparency in what is happening at the center. They are also frustrated that the staff’s experts are being shut out of decisions which are instead being made by political appointees with no experience in the arts or nonprofits.
