Bogdan Chruszcz, 84

We are saddened to report the passing of violinist Bogdan Chruszcz. Bogdan, a member of Local 655 since 1965, was founding concertmaster of the Florida Philharmonic, and after the Philharmonic filed for bankruptcy, he became the concertmaster of the Symphony of the Americas. The National Labor Relations Board has repealed a 2023 rule regarding joint employers. The standard now considers a company a joint employer if it has direct and immediate control over conditions including hiring, supervision, and pay.
