Ride share and delivery app drivers in Mexico staged a two-hour strike in May to demand fair treatment and a collective bargaining agreement. A 2024 law reclassified app-based workers as employees, and the National App Workers Union is assisting them in their demands. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has approved $323 million in culture funding. This is a seven percent increase from last year, which was also a record amount at the time.
