Negotiations with Palm Beach Opera will begin soon. The orchestra committee and Local officers have met with AFM negotiator Campbell MacDonald, who will be assisting with the negotiation. They have reviewed the contact and have begun drafting a proposal for changes to propose. Members of the orchestra committee are Greg and Laura Miller, Eric Ohlsson, Laura Winters, Jody Yanow, and Katherine Rodriguez. If you are a member of the Palm Beach Opera Orchestra, you should have already received a survey to let us know your concerns. As always, members should feel free to reach out to the office if they have more they wish to let us know.
We are conducting a membership drive! Now through June 30, new members can join without having to pay initiation fees. Please tell your colleagues. Information is available on the website or by reaching out to the office.
If you report engagements on the LS-1 contract, please note that the AFM has updated the agreement. Please file all future agreements using the March 2026 revision; it is available on the website or by reaching out to the office.
