Tax Time
April is tax time. Employers were required to send your W2 and 1099 forms by the end of February. If your employer failed to send your forms, you may call the IRS at 800-829-1040 for help. You’ll need to provide your name, address, phone number, Social Security number and dates of employment. You’ll also need to provide the employer’s or payer’s name, address and phone number. The IRS will contact the employer or payer and request the missing forms. If you have a negligent employer, you should let the IRS and the AFM know. They have a responsibility to provide paperwork in a timely manner, and it only puts the burden on musicians if they fail in their obligations.
New Member Orientation Meeting Schedule
Meetings are virtual via Zoom and links will be sent in advance. New members are encouraged to join us and all members are welcome! The meetings will be brief and will offer a question-and-answer period. Links will be included in the monthly newsletter.
